Terms of engagement.

These terms summarise how I work. Every client also signs a service agreement covering the details of their work. If the two ever differ, the service agreement takes priority.

Rates and plans

All work is charged at £30 an hour.

Flexible work is billed at the end of each month for the hours used. Monthly plans (20 or 40 hours) are billed at the start of each month. Unused hours on a monthly plan roll over for one month, then expire. Hours beyond your plan are charged at the same rate.

Time is billed in 15-minute increments.

Payment

Invoices are sent by email and are due within 14 days, by bank transfer. I'm not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.

Late payment

If an invoice is overdue, I may pause work until it's paid. I also reserve the right to charge interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Expenses

Any costs I take on for you, such as software, postage or travel, are agreed with you first and billed at cost.

Cancelling

Monthly plans need 30 days' notice to cancel. Flexible work can stop at any time; you pay only for hours already worked.

What's not included

Bookkeeping, 24/7 cover and paid-ad management. I'm happy to recommend someone for these.

Your work and your data

Anything I create for you belongs to you once it's paid for.

I handle any personal data on your behalf only as you instruct, in line with UK GDPR. Pigeonhole Co. is registered with the ICO (ZB588994).

Insurance and liability

I'm insured through PolicyBee for professional indemnity and public liability. My total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before a claim.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
